Baked turkey schnitzel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 turkey schnitzels, 150 g each
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 150 g cream cheese, brunch spread or other cream cheese
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Rinse the turkey schnitzel, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the schnitzel for about 2 minutes on each side. Place in a baking dish. Preheat oven to 200°C. Wash and slice the tomatoes, and place them on the schnitzel. Rinse the chives, pat dry, and cut into small rolls. Place the spread in a bowl and mix with the chives and egg yolk. Season with salt and pepper and spread evenly over the tomatoes. Bake on the middle rack for about 10 minutes. Serve with a crisp salad, if desired.
