Fast food: How to bake baguettes with the Thermomix
You cannot bake with the Thermomix. However, the dough is prepared in no time.
- First, put the water and yeast in the Thermomix. Let the device mix the two ingredients for two minutes on speed 1 at 37 degrees.
- Now add the flour and salt and stir for another three minutes.
- Take the dough out of the Thermomix and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in volume.
- After the dough has risen, divide it into three equal parts. Flour the pieces of dough a little and form three baguettes.
- If you don’t have a baguette baking tin, you can fold three wells out of baking paper and place the formed dough in them.
- Let the baguette rise for another 20 minutes and score the loaves diagonally with a sharp knife. Tip:
- Moisten the baguette with a little water for a nice and crispy texture.
- Then bake the bread in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes at 250 degrees. Tip: Put a heat-resistant bowl of water in the oven to prevent the bread from drying out.
