If you are the proud owner of a Thermomix, you can also use it to prepare delicious baguettes without much effort. In this article, we will show you what you need and how to do it.

Baguette in the Thermomix: This is what you need

Our quantities result in three baguettes.

  • You need 750 g of flour for your baguettes.
  • 15 g of yeast serves as a leavening agent.
  • For the dough, you need 430 g of water.
  • So that the baguette does not taste bland, two heaped teaspoons of salt are added to the dough.

Fast food: How to bake baguettes with the Thermomix

You cannot bake with the Thermomix. However, the dough is prepared in no time.

  1. First, put the water and yeast in the Thermomix. Let the device mix the two ingredients for two minutes on speed 1 at 37 degrees.
  2. Now add the flour and salt and stir for another three minutes.
  3. Take the dough out of the Thermomix and let it rise in a warm place until it has doubled in volume.
  4. After the dough has risen, divide it into three equal parts. Flour the pieces of dough a little and form three baguettes.
  5. If you don’t have a baguette baking tin, you can fold three wells out of baking paper and place the formed dough in them.
  6. Let the baguette rise for another 20 minutes and score the loaves diagonally with a sharp knife. Tip:
  7. Moisten the baguette with a little water for a nice and crispy texture.
  8. Then bake the bread in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes at 250 degrees. Tip: Put a heat-resistant bowl of water in the oven to prevent the bread from drying out.
