Baking: Flaxseed Bread
The perfect baking: flaxseed bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 400 g Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 210 ml Lukewarm water
- 0,5 Yeast cubes
- 1 Egg
- 3 tbsp Flaxseed crushed
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Milk
- Mix the flour, salt and sugar. Crumble the yeast into the water and dissolve it; then add to the flour mixture together with the egg.
- Knead everything into a dough. (I use the food processor for this.)
- Let rise in a warm place (e.g. on the heater) covered for approx. 45-60 minutes.
- Now knead again. knead in the flaxseed (keep about 0.5 teaspoon)
- Shape into a ball and place on a baking sheet or something similar. (I use a 26-inch silicone cake pan so the dough doesn’t come too far apart.)
- Place in the switched off oven and let rise there for another 45-60 minutes. Spray the oven with water (flower sprayer) or put some water on the floor.
- Whisk the oil and milk together (I use a hand milk frother for this) and spread this mixture onto the bread. Sprinkle with the retained flaxseed.
- Bake in the oven at 180 ° C for about 30-35 minutes.
