Baking: Tuscan White Bread
The perfect baking: tuscan white bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
* for the source piece
- 125 g Wheat flour type 550
- 75 ml Lukewarm water
- 30 g Yeast fresh
* for the bread dough
- 150 ml Lukewarm water
- 0,5 tsp Salt
- 300 g Wheat flour type 550
- For the source piece, dissolve the yeast in the water, then knead with the flour.
- Cover and let rise in a quiet place (room temperature) for 12 hours.
- Then stir in the water. Then stir in approx. 250g flour.
- Cover again and let rise for about 25-30 minutes.
- Then knead in the remaining flour. (possibly a little less)
- Now shape it into a loaf or ball, place it on a baking sheet and let rise for another 20-25 minutes.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 200 ° C for about 35-40 minutes. (Spray the side walls of the oven with water or pour water on the floor.)
