Banana Chocolate Marble Cake

Ingredients
 

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinammon
  • 100 g Dark chocolate droplets
  • 70 g Coarsely chopped walnut kernels
  • 50 g Butter
  • 100 g Brown sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 0,5 bottle Butter-Vanilla flavor
  • 3 Ripe bananas
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tbsp Rum
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa powder

Instructions
 

  • Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a bowl. Place the chocolate chips and walnuts in another bowl and stir in a tablespoon of the flour mixture. Puree the bananas with the milk or finely mash them with a fork.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs, butter, sugar and vanilla flavor until frothy. Stir in the banana puree as well. Finally stir in the flour mixture. Mix one third of the batter with the cocoa powder and rum. Fold the chocolate droplets and walnuts under the light batter.
  • In a prepared loaf pan, first smooth out the light-colored dough, then pour the dark dough on it and use a fork to pull it through the dough in a spiral shape to create a marble pattern.
  • Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees (top / bottom heat) for about 60 minutes. Make a stick test and bake for a few minutes longer if necessary. Allow to cool before tumbling. Then cover with a chocolate glaze, if you like, or simply dust with powdered sugar.
