Banana Drop Biscuits

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 180 ml milk
  • 1 large banana(s) (or 2 small ones), mashed

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Combine the first five ingredients in a bowl and mix. Cut the butter or margarine into small pieces. Mix until crumbly. Make a hole in the center of the dough. Pour the milk and mashed banana into the center. Mix the mixture into a soft dough. Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes, until golden brown. Serve while still hot with butter and jam or whipped cream, if desired. They also taste great with peanut butter or fruit salad.
