Banana-Nutella Strudel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 package of puff pastry from the refrigerated section
  • 2 bananas
  • e.g. Nutella

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Chop the bananas thoroughly. Some slices won’t be small enough. You may want to use a food processor or even an immersion blender. Then spread the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The parchment paper can remain on the bottom. Spread a thin layer of Nutella over the dough and arrange the bananas on top. Using the parchment paper, tightly roll up the puff pastry. Make sure you smooth the seam a little with the rolling pin so the strudel doesn’t fall apart during baking. Bake, seam-side down, for 15-20 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown. You can certainly use honey or jam instead of Nutella. But please remember, less is more…
