Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 16 slice(s) of toast or 6 rolls
- 6 tbsp flour
- ⅛ liter milk
- 3 eggs
- Salt
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Fat for baking
- Applesauce or compote
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Cut a roll, plaited loaf, or toast into finger-thick slices. Make a thick batter from flour, milk, eggs, sugar, and a little salt. Dip the slices into the batter and fry in hot oil (approx. 180°C) until golden brown. Remove the finished slices from the oil and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
