Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry, 450 g each
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 500 g minced meat (beef)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp savory, dried
  • 1 jar beans (sharpened beans), alternatively 750 g frozen
  • some flour for the work surface
  • some milk for brushing

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry sheets side by side. Preheat oven to 225°C (gas mark 4). Peel and finely chop the onions. Sauté in melted butter. Add the minced beef and fry for five minutes. Peel the garlic clove, press it through a press, and add it to the meat. Season with tomato paste, salt, pepper, and dried savory. Cut the beans into 1-centimeter pieces and stir into the minced meat. Allow everything to cool. Roll out the puff pastry to the size of a baking sheet and spread the cooled mixture on top. Roll up from the wide side. Rinse a baking sheet with cold water and place the pastry rolls on top, seam-down. Brush with milk and bake for about 40 minutes. Wide ribbon pasta, cream sauce, and lamb’s lettuce are suitable side dishes.
