Beans with bacon

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 can kidney beans, approx. 400 g
  • 1 can white beans, approx. 400 g
  • 1 can tomatoes, chopped, approx. 400 g
  • 200 g sour cream
  • Oil for frying
  • 150 g Cabanossi
  • 125 g bacon (strips)
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 chilies

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Drain the beans. Peel the onions and garlic, roughly dicing the onions and finely dicing the garlic. Slice the Cabanossi and fry them in a pan with a little oil. Then add the onions, bacon, and garlic and fry briefly. Add the tomatoes and mix briefly. Add the drained beans and heat everything through. Now fold in the sour cream. Season with thyme, chili, pepper, paprika, and salt. Bring everything back to a boil briefly. Homemade bread goes very well with this.
