Beef Ragout

The perfect beef ragout recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 800 g Beef goulash
  • 2 Discs Bacon (about 5mm thick)
  • 1 Pc. Large onion
  • 1 Pc Clove of garlic
  • 300 ml Beef broth
  • 300 ml Red wine (semi-dry)
  • 100 ml Cream
  • Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 tsp Thyme
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  1. Cut the onion into small cubes, cut the bacon into strips. Heat the oil in a pan and sear the meat and strips of ham in it. Add the onion cubes and squeeze in the clove of garlic. Fry the whole thing briefly and then add red wine and meat broth.
  2. Cover and let simmer for about 1 hour. Then pour in the cream and season with the spices.
