Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g almonds
  • 150 ml Bock beer, dark
  • 50 ml water
  • 100 g sugar
  • 3 pinches of speculatius spice

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Place the almonds in a pan and caramelize lightly with half the sugar. Stir frequently to prevent it from turning black. Add the beer and water with the remaining sugar. Boil over high heat until a very sticky, thick mixture forms. The nuts should be coated in a brown mixture. At the end, add the spices and mix again. Transfer the nut mixture to a baking sheet, making sure the nuts don’t stick together. Let cool.
