Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp sage
  • 6 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Tabasco
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (white wine) or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

American BBQ marinade

Whisk together all the marinade ingredients except the oil and let it sit for a few minutes. Then stir in the oil and pour the marinade into a freezer bag. Marinate the poultry or meat overnight. Grill on a charcoal grill or under the oven broiler. This makes enough for 800g of chicken wings (or other poultry parts) or 4 200g steaks.
