Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,000 g blackberries
  • 200 g brown cane sugar
  • 2 pinches of cinnamon powder
  • 2 pinches of cardamom powder
  • 2 pinches of ginger powder
  • 2 pinches of clove powder
  • ½ star anise, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours

Sort the fruit and wash thoroughly. Then place the fruit in a saucepan and mix with the sugar and spices. Let it steep for a while until it has released its juices. Then boil everything thoroughly until the liquid has reduced by half. Strain everything through a sieve to remove the seeds. Now pour everything into hot, rinsed jars, screw on the lids, and let it sit for a few minutes.
