Blackberry-Watermelon Jelly

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,200 g blackberries
  • 700 g melon(s) (watermelon without peel and seeds)
  • 1 pack of citric acid, 8 g
  • 4 drops of vanilla flavor
  • 750 g gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash the blackberries and place them in a saucepan without any liquid. Slowly bring to a boil. Then pour the blackberries into a fine sieve and pass through a sieve. This yields approximately 800 ml of juice. Pour the juice into a large saucepan. Dice the watermelon and add it to the blackberry juice. Then blend everything until smooth. Add the gelling sugar, citric acid, and flavoring and bring to a boil while stirring. Boil for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Then transfer to jars.
