Blackcurrant jam, raw

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g berries (black currants), cleaned, weighed
  • 500 g sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Puree the cleaned, stemmed currants with the sugar. Blend for a total of 5 minutes with an immersion blender (or blend after blending). Pour into screw-top jars rinsed with hot water. If desired, you can add a very thin layer of high-proof alcohol for better preservation. Seal the jars immediately. The jam will have a very fruity flavor, will be relatively firm, and will keep well despite the uncooked berries. Caution! The setting process will take one to two hours.
