How to clean jacket sleeves at home – reliable methods
Before you choose the best remedy to update a down jacket or jacket, note that first, it is better to test it on an inconspicuous area of the garment. Also, do not rub the stain or just dirt with hard brushes or hands – you risk deforming the fabric. It’s better to arm yourself with soft sponges, microfiber cloths, or even moist towelettes.
Among the most effective improvised means experienced hostesses allocate:
- ammonia alcohol – dilute 1 tsp of alcohol and 1 tsp of dishwashing gel in 100 ml of water, soak a sponge in the solution, apply to the stain, leave for 30 minutes, and wash off;
- laundry soap – rub the problem area, leave for 30-40 minutes, then rub with a damp sponge and wash off;
- peroxide – dilute 3 teaspoons of the product in 1 cup of warm water, moisten a cotton pad in solution, apply to the problem area, rub with a toothbrush, then moisten with lemon juice, leave for 20 minutes, and wipe with tissues.
There is another option, but it is quite trivial – to use a stain remover. Here there are no universal recommendations – the manufacturer of this or that means indicates the method of use on the package, so it is better to check with him.
