The experiment found that onions in type 2 diabetes significantly reduced blood sugar levels (by 40 mg/dL) after just four hours of eating the specially prepared extract. The results of this study were published in Environmental Health Insights.

The researchers found this healing property in an extract of an ordinary onion, which is easy to buy in every supermarket. To the extract, scientists added an antidiabetic drug – metformin.
