Blood Orange Tart
The perfect blood orange tart recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the dough:
- 100 g Butter
- 30 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 1 Pc. Egg
- 200 g Flour
For covering:
- 3 Pc. Blood oranges
- 5 tbsp Blood orange curd
- 200 g Sour cream
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Pc. Egg
- 50 g White chocolate liquid
Glaze:
- 100 ml Blood orange juice
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp Food starch
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Mix all ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Grease the tart pan. Roll out the dough and line the mold with it, piercing the base several times.
- Peel the blood oranges and cut them crosswise into wedges. Mix the quark, sour cream, sugar and egg well. Add blood orange curd and white chocolate. Spread the cream on the dough, place blood oranges on top and bake for 30 minutes.
- Mix the cornstarch with sugar and briefly bring to the boil with blood orange juice. Pour evenly on the tart and let cool completely.
