Blue Curaçao syrup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 orange(s) (organic), peel
  • ½ lemon(s) (organic), peel
  • some food coloring, blue

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

alcohol-free

Wash the oranges and lemon thoroughly and dry them. Then, using a vegetable peeler or a sharp knife, thinly slice off the zest, leaving only a small amount of white pith. A little is fine, as a slightly (!!) bitter flavor is very pleasant. Cut the zest into strips. Combine all ingredients except the food coloring in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once the sugar has dissolved, simmer gently for another 10-15 minutes, until the syrup reaches the desired consistency. Strain through a sieve and add enough food coloring to achieve a beautiful blue color. This syrup can be used to make many delicious, fruity cocktails, even for children’s parties.
