Blueberry-orange jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 750 g blueberries, fresh
  • 250 g orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 vanilla pod(s), scraped
  • 1 pack of gelling sugar, 1:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 24 minutes

refined with a little vanilla

Wash and sort the blueberries. Place them in a saucepan and mash lightly with a masher, just enough to burst the berries. Then mix with the orange juice, vanilla pulp, vanilla pod, and preserving sugar and let it steep for about 2 hours. Bring everything to a rolling boil for 4 minutes according to the package instructions. Remove the vanilla pod and pour the hot jam into jars and seal with boiled twist-off lids. Turn upside down for 5 minutes to sterilize the lids again. I use 1:1 preserving sugar because it contains no preservatives.
