Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g croquettes
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 cans of tomatoes, chopped
  • 20 g tomato paste
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 150 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Heat the butter in a pan. Crush the garlic and fry it with the onion until crisp. Now add the minced meat and fry until crumbly. When the minced meat is cooking in its own juices and no raw bits are visible, add the tomatoes and bring to a boil briefly. Add the tomato paste and a little water, if desired, to create a nice sauce. Season well with all the spices and pour everything into a baking dish. Spread about 50g of cheese over the minced meat and tomato mixture to prevent the croquettes from becoming so sticky. Arrange the frozen croquettes on top of the cheese and press them in gently. Spread the remaining cheese over the croquettes and bake the casserole for about 30 minutes until golden brown. Check that the croquettes are crispy before serving.
