Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 1 pack of sweets (Bounty bars, 8 x 26 g content)
- 250 g flour
- 1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 egg(s)
- 140 g brown sugar
- 80 ml vegetable oil
- 300 g buttermilk
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven). Place the paper baking cups into the muffin tin. Halve each of the 6 Bounty bars. Chop the remainder into small pieces. Combine the flour with the Bounty pieces, cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda. Lightly beat the egg. Mix with the sugar, oil, and buttermilk. Briefly stir in the flour mixture. Fill the holes with half of the batter. Place one Bounty piece on top of each, then fill with the remaining batter. Bake in the center of the oven for 20-25 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes, then remove and let cool. Decorating tip: Melt the milk chocolate coating. Dip the muffins in the chocolate and let them drain. Cut 2 Bounty bars into slices, place them on the muffins, and sprinkle with 4 tablespoons of desiccated coconut. Good luck and enjoy! My daughter loves these and the marble muffins!
