Bratwurst balls in red wine sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • some butter or margarine
  • ½ onion(s), chopped
  • 1 sausage (coarse, fine or Thuringian sausages)
  • 1 pack of sauce powder for gravy
  • 250 ml water
  • ½ cup Madeira

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Sauté the chopped onion in butter or margarine in a saucepan, but do not let it brown. Deglaze with water and stir in the gravy powder. Pour in the Madeira wine and bring to a boil. Ball the sausages into the sauce. Simmer gently for 10 minutes. Serve with boiled potatoes.
