Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 cup(s) sugar (teacup)
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 2 lemons, sliced ​​with peel
  • 3 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 300 g ginger, fresh, washed and sliced
  • 1 liter of cachaça or other spirit (vodka, Steinhäger, etc.)

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Caramelize the sugar in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Then add the water and ginger and let it boil until the ingredients are well blended. Then add the lemons, cinnamon sticks, and schnapps and let it simmer for a few more minutes. Strain and serve hot in cups or glasses.
