Bread Cheese Casserole with Pears
The perfect bread cheese casserole with pears recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 20 ml Oil
- 420 g Stale bread
- 500 g Appenzeller cheese
- 160 g Fresh onion
- 3 piece Free range eggs
- 160 ml Milk
- 180 ml Cream
- 450 gr Cream curd
- 480 gr Canned pears
- Freshly grated nutmeg
- Salt
- Hot pepper
- Pepper Gourmet from my KB
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees
- Grease the casserole dish well with oil
- Cut the bread and onion into thin slices
- Grate Appenzell cheese (any other stronger type can also be used) with the hash browns
- Cover the bottom of the baking dish with a layer of bread – then spread onion slices and pears on top, then a layer of cheese and repeat this until the dish is full
