Bread Pudding
The perfect bread pudding recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 6 Discs Mixed wheat bread, approx. 250 g
- 40 g Soft butter
- 150 g Breakfast bacon
- 70 g Gruyere or mountain cheese, grated
- 200 ml Milk
- 3 Eggs size M
- Salt pepper
- Brush the bread slices with butter and then wrap 150 g of bacon (3 slices of bacon per bread slice). Place the bread slices in a greased ovenproof dish (length approx. 25 cm).
- Mix 50 g cheese with 200 ml milk and 3 eggs. Season with salt and pepper. Carefully pour the mixture over and between the breads and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C (top / bottom heat) on the middle rack for 30 minutes (fan-assisted not recommended). Let the casserole cool down briefly and serve.
- Tomato salad with onions or mixed leaf salad tastes good with it.
