a real eye-catcher
Mix the dough ingredients into a dough using the dough hook of a mixer. Set the dough aside for a moment. To make the filling, chop the garlic clove, parsley, and mountain cheese, then add the chopped carrots and finely diced onion. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well, e.g. using a hand blender, until it forms a paste. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat). Separate one half of the dough, roll it out, and place it on baking paper. Cut it into a circle using a sharp knife. It’s best to work directly onto a baking sheet. Now, with oiled hands, shape a quarter of the filling into a ball and place it in the center of the dough circle. Place the remaining filling in a ring around it, leaving about 7 cm from the center. Roll out the second half of the dough and place it on top of the first. The first half of the dough, including the filling, is now completely covered by the second half of the dough. Place an upside-down dessert bowl on top of the center ball as a weight. Press the dough sheets firmly and trim off any protruding edges evenly. Starting in the center of the bowl, cut the sun into 16 pieces, making sure to also cut through the covered filling. By now, the sun should be placed on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Rotate the 16 pieces 45° and place them facing upwards, so that you are now facing the filling. Remove the bowl and brush the sun with milk. Bake at 200°C for 30 minutes using top and bottom heat. If the browning is not yet satisfactory, switch the oven to fan-assisted mode for 5-8 minutes. Stay nearby and check until the result is satisfactory.
