Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 550 g flour
- 350 g mashed potatoes
- 250 g cottage cheese
- 50 g sugar
- 2 packets of dry yeast
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 eggs
- e.g. milk
- Oil for the bowl

Burger buns, ingenious rolls for the perfect burger. Also suitable for hot dogs! Makes 10.
In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with the cottage cheese, 1 egg, sugar, oil, and salt. Then stir in the yeast and 300g of flour for a few minutes. Gradually knead in the remaining 250g of flour. This takes about 10 minutes. Place the slightly sticky dough in an oiled bowl and let it rest for about 45 minutes. Then knead the dough again. The oil in the bowl will make it less sticky. Divide into pieces weighing about 100–150g (depending on the desired size), place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and shape into round, flat rolls. Cover and let rest for about 20 minutes with a kitchen towel. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180°C. Whisk a little milk with the second egg and brush the rolls with it. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
