Burger with goat cheese, arugula and fig jam

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 large hamburger buns
  • 600 g minced beef
  • 1 beefsteak tomato(s)
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • 2 gherkins
  • 4 goat cheese rolls
  • 100 g arugula
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Fig jam
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Slice the tomato, onion, and cucumber. Mix the ground beef with the egg, salt, and pepper. Form 4 patties from the ground beef. They should be slightly larger than the burger bun. Preheat the oven to 200°C using the grill function and brown the buns, cut-side up, for about 8 minutes. Sear the patties, then reduce the heat, turn them over, and top each with a slice of goat cheese. Continue cooking for about 3 minutes. Spread the bottom half of the buns with fig jam and top with arugula. Now layer the patties, more fig jam, tomato, onion, and cucumber on top, and put the lid on.
