- 300 g flour
- 150 g sugar

- 200 ml cream
- 125 g butter
- 125 g sugar
- 100 g almond flakes
- 3 tbsp milk

Quick butter cake Schellhorn style
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, vanilla sugar, eggs, and cream with a hand mixer until you have a smooth batter. Spread evenly on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (180 degrees Celsius fan-assisted) for 10 minutes. In the meantime, melt the butter in a saucepan, add the sugar, almonds, and milk, and mix everything well until the sugar is dissolved. Spread the mixture evenly over the pre-baked dough using a palette knife and smooth it down. Bake for another 10 minutes. This cake is ideal for unexpected visitors or for when the kids need a quick cake donation for school or kindergarten. It’s quick to bake and always a hit.
