Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 100 g margarine
  • 200 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 375 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 4 egg yolks (reserve egg whites)
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1,000 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 1 cup(s) oil
  • 3 can/n tangerines (drain, set aside juice)
  • 2 pts. cake glaze, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Make a batter from the above ingredients and spread it on a greased baking sheet. Mix the topping ingredients together until smooth. Beat the reserved egg whites until stiff and fold them into the batter. Spread the batter on the base and scatter the drained mandarins over the batter. Bake the cake at 180 degrees Celsius for about 45 minutes. Once cooled, spread with 2 tablespoons of cake glaze, which also contains the mandarin orange juice.
