Butter cake made from quark and oil dough

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 250 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 8 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 100 g hazelnuts or almonds, ground, or desiccated coconut
  • 100 g butter, cut into flakes
  • possibly sugar
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Mix the quark with the oil and egg. Stir in the sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar. Mix the flour with the baking powder and briefly stir into the quark and oil mixture (Caution: It will stick to the mixer quickly, so only mix briefly). Spread the batter evenly on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with the ground nuts. If you like it sweeter, sprinkle a little more sugar on the cake. Spread some butter in small pieces over the cake and bake in a preheated oven at 195°C for about 20-30 minutes. Pour the cream over the cake while it’s still hot. A delicious, moist cake.
