Butter Cake

- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 400 g Flour
- 1 cube Yeast
- 180 ml Milk lukewarm
- 120 g Liquid butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 Pc. Egg
- 3 tbsp Oil neutral
- 100 g Flaked almonds
- 6 tbsp Sugar
- 120 g Butter
For painting
- 2 tbsp Cream
- 1 Egg yolk
- Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the middle. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk. Mix the sugar, salt, egg, oil and the yeast milk and pour into the well, dust with a little flour and let rest for 10 minutes. Then work the dough through well. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise for 30 minutes. Grease a sheet of 40×50 cm. Put some flour on the worktop and knead the yeast dough again briefly. Place the dough on the baking sheet and roll out so that it reaches into the corners. Let the yeast dough rest for 5 minutes, then press holes in the dough with floured fingers. Put small flakes of butter in the holes, sprinkle sugar and flaked almonds on top. Put the cake in the preheated oven – 200 ° C / fan oven – and bake for about 20 minutes. 5 minutes before the end of baking, brush the cake with the egg yolk / cream mixture (lumpy) and finish baking.
