Ingredients
- 500 g Flour; possibly a little more
- 500 ml Buttermilk
- 1 cube Fresh yeast
- 150 g Roasted onions
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1,5 tsp Salt
- Parchment paper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Put a fireproof bowl with water in the oven. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. The bread is baked directly. The dough does not need to "rise".
- Crumble the yeast and mix well with the sugar until the yeast has dissolved. Mix the flour, salt, fried onions and buttermilk together. Add the yeast and knead everything into a smooth dough with your hands. If the dough is too sticky, knead in a little more flour.
- Shape the dough into a loaf. Or, as I did it here, shape it into a baguette. Make several cuts on the surface with a sharp knife, place on the baking sheet and bake in the hot oven for 45-50 minutes. Remove and let cool on a wire rack.
