Ingredients

  • 130 g Big onion
  • 5 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Vegetable broth
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 1 tsp Honey

Instructions

  • Cut the onion into cubes of the same size. Heat a stainless steel pan on the highest level and add the oil. When the oil is hot add the onions and brown them lightly (approx. 1 min.), Then set the temperature to medium, add the spices and roast the onions while stirring occasionally. Finally pour the honey over the onions and stir. Now pour off the excess fat and spread it out on kitchen paper to cool and dab it off.
  • These fried onions taste warm and cold and go well with hot dogs (see my cookbook), bratwurst, meat loaf, hamburgers, roasted liver. Those who like to make bread, rolls or baguettes themselves: These fried onions are ideal as an ingredient.
  • I'm looking forward to your comment and rating. Good hunger says GregCheck
