Buttermilk – brown bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 700 g flour (type 1050) or finely ground wheat
  • 500 g flour (type 1370) or fine rye meal
  • 1 liter buttermilk
  • 1 pack of yeast
  • 250 g sunflower seeds or wheat flour (type 1050)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • Grease for the molds

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

enough for 2 loaves of bread

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and prepare a yeast dough. Cover and let rest in a warm place for about 3-4 hours. Then pour the dough into two greased loaf pans and let it rise for another 15 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 1 hour.
