Buttermilk pancakes – American original

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. In another bowl, combine the buttermilk, egg, and oil, then add to the dry ingredients. Mix everything together. Melt a little butter or oil (such as Mazola) in a pan. Add the batter, a tablespoon at a time. Cook on one side until bubbles form on top. Then flip and brown the other side. Serve savory with bacon and sausage, or sweet with syrup, powdered sugar, Nutella, etc. Very simple and delicious.
