Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 500 g potato dumplings
- 1 can sauerkraut, approx. 800 g
- 150 g raw ham or diced bacon
- 1 tbsp fat
- Salt
- pepper
- Caraway seeds
- Paprika powder
- bay leaves
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Place the sauerkraut in a pot, season with caraway seeds, bay leaves, paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook for about 20-30 minutes until tender. Heat the fat in a pan and fry the potato dumplings and ham or bacon. Add the sauerkraut and mix well, letting it cook together for a bit longer if necessary.
