Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 m.-sized eggs
- 150 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 75 g cornstarch
- Oil for brushing
- n. B. Breadcrumbs for sprinkling
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Sponge cake for 4 glasses of 250 ml each
Brush 4 1/4-liter glasses with oil, avoiding the rim. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, if desired. Preheat the oven to 175°C (conventional heat: 160°C). Cream together the butter, sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl. Gradually stir in the 4 eggs. Mix the flour, baking powder, and cornstarch, then sift them onto the egg custard and stir in lightly. Pour the batter into the prepared glasses. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 35 minutes.
