Ingredients

  • 70 g Sugar
  • 125 ml Milk warm
  • 0,5 cube Yeast
  • 1 Egg
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 50 g Butter

For painting

  • 1 Twisted egg yolk
  • 1 Granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Make a pre-dough from the crumbled yeast, sugar and warm milk and let rise for 15 minutes.
  • Make a soft yeast dough with the pre-dough and the remaining yeast dough ingredients, my food processor does that.
  • Then leave it covered until the yeast dough has doubled.
  • Knead the dough again, form 2 knots. Then distribute both on a baking sheet and let rise for another 15 minutes.
  • Brush with the whisked egg yolk and sprinkle with plenty of sugar.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 175 C for about 25 minutes until light brown.
  • I frozen one right after it got cold ... for Christmas 😉
