California Cheesecake

The perfect california cheesecake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the breadcrumbs

  • 100 g Butter
  • 200 g Shortbread
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon
  • 1 P Vanilla sugar

For covering

  • 4 large Eggs
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 800 g Cream cheese double cream setting
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 200 g Creme fraiche Cheese
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  1. Melt the butter and let it cool down. Finely crumbled biscuits. Mix the butter with the biscuits, cinnamon and vanilla sugar and press the bottom into the ungreased pan. Preheat the oven to 150 ° C (fan oven 140 °). Beat the eggs and sugar with the whisk until frothy. Spoon in the cream cheese and knock in well. Mix in the lemon juice and pour everything on the crumble base. Bake the cake in the oven on the middle rack for about 1 hour. In the meantime, mix the crème fraiche with the vanilla sugar. After the baking time, spread the crème fraiche on the cake and bake for another 10 minutes. Take it out and let it cool down. Enjoy!
