Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 pineapple
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 vanilla pod(s)
- 50 ml rum (optional)
- some water
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes
Melt the sugar in a pan over medium heat and caramelize. Peel the pineapple, remove the core, and cut it into pieces. Then place it in the caramelized sugar. Scrape out the vanilla pod and add the seeds and pod to the pan. Add a splash of rum and let it evaporate. Add a little water and simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove the vanilla pod before serving.
