Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g cauliflower
- 50 g durum wheat semolina
- 50 g sour cream
- 60 g cooked ham (optional)
- 120 g Gouda, grated
- 1 bunch chives, chopped
- 70 g breadcrumbs
- 2 m.-sized eggs
- e.g. salt and pepper
- e.g. paprika powder
- e.g. nutmeg, grated
- some oil for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Cook the cauliflower thoroughly in a pot with a little water, then let it cool. Knead the soft cauliflower and eggs, semolina, sour cream, cheese, ham (optional), chives, salt, pepper, paprika, nutmeg, and breadcrumbs together with a potato masher until you have a pliable dough. I always do this by hand. If the consistency is too soft, add more breadcrumbs. Form the mixture into 12 flat patties and fry them in batches in hot oil in a pan until golden brown. Serve warm or cold. Tip: If desired, you can also sprinkle some sesame seeds on the patties before frying.
