Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g cauliflower
  • 50 g durum wheat semolina
  • 50 g sour cream
  • 60 g cooked ham (optional)
  • 120 g Gouda, grated
  • 1 bunch chives, chopped
  • 70 g breadcrumbs
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. paprika powder
  • e.g. nutmeg, grated
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cook the cauliflower thoroughly in a pot with a little water, then let it cool. Knead the soft cauliflower and eggs, semolina, sour cream, cheese, ham (optional), chives, salt, pepper, paprika, nutmeg, and breadcrumbs together with a potato masher until you have a pliable dough. I always do this by hand. If the consistency is too soft, add more breadcrumbs. Form the mixture into 12 flat patties and fry them in batches in hot oil in a pan until golden brown. Serve warm or cold. Tip: If desired, you can also sprinkle some sesame seeds on the patties before frying.
