Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vodka
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Flour until a firm dough is formed
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 ½ cups honey
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Nuts, as desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Mix all the ingredients for the dough and make the batter. Let the dough rest for 20 minutes under a towel. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out small squares (approx. 1.5 x 1.5 cm). Deep-fry the squares until golden brown. Let cool. In the meantime, simmer the honey and sugar gently for 5 minutes. Place some of the squares in a bowl. Spread a few spoonfuls of honey on top. Sprinkle some nuts on top. Mix everything together. This is best done with your hands (but be careful! It’s hot). Add another portion of the squares, drizzle with more honey, and mix. Continue until all is used up. Arrange on a plate in the shape of a dome. Let it set.
