Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp vodka
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 500 g honey
  • 250 g sugar
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg yolks with sugar, salt, and butter until frothy. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Now add the milk and vodka. Add the flour and make a firm dough. Let the dough rest for 15 minutes. Roll out the dough thinly. Cut into 3-4 cm strips. Now cut the strips into thin wedges about 0.5 cm wide. You can also form small rolls. Fry in batches in oil over a low heat until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper. Bring the honey and sugar to a boil and simmer until a drop remains and no longer runs. Now mix the wedges with the icing and mix everything well. This is best done with your hands. Pile the mixture onto a plate and let it sit.
