Cheese and carrot sandwich

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 30 g walnuts
  • 50 g cheese (Emmental)
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 slice(s) toast bread (sandwich toast)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 7 minutes; Total time approx. 27 minutes

Preheat the sandwich toaster, peel and grate the carrot, and finely chop the walnuts. Then grate the cheese. Mix the grated carrot with the walnuts, cheese, curry, and salt. Spread the mixture on two slices of toast. Top with a second slice of toast and bake in the sandwich toaster for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown (or fry in a pan with a little butter or margarine). You can also prepare the sandwiches in the morning and wrap them in aluminum foil. This way, they’ll still be warm at lunchtime at the office.
