tastes good hot and cold, either as a side dish or as a main course

Cut the cheese into small pieces. The edges should be no more than 1.5 cm long. Alternatively, you can also use grated cheese. Mix the cheese with the flour, eggs, oats, pesto and cream cheese to form a batter. This is best done with a hand mixer. Finally, stir in the fried onions and seasoning. Heat a little oil in a pan and add the batter to the pan either with a ladle (for large patties) or with a tablespoon and press it down lightly. Fry the patties on a medium heat for approx. 2-5 minutes on each side. The patties are delicious hot or cold. Serve with horseradish, cream cheese and cranberries, among other things.
