Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 egg whites
  • 100 g cheese (hard cheese of your choice), grated
  • 4 tbsp oat flakes, coarse
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • some paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

when you have too much protein left over from baking and cooking.

Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt in a cold bowl until stiff peaks form. Mix the grated cheese with the oats, flour, and seasonings. Briefly mix with one-third of the beaten egg whites, then gently fold in the rest. Place small heaping spoonfuls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 20 minutes until lightly browned. Serve warm—but it’s also delicious cold.
