Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed fresh
  • 1 roll
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • some breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

In Hohenlohe we call them Fleischküchle

Place the minced meat in a bowl. Soak the bread roll in warm water and squeeze it well into the minced meat. Finely dice the onion and add it to the minced meat. Add the egg, salt, pepper, and paprika. Press the garlic through a garlic press and add it to the bowl. Form the meatballs with wet hands and coat them in breadcrumbs. Slowly fry them in vegetable oil until golden brown. Tip: If you have any leftovers, simply store them in the fridge and take them to work the next day. They taste even better cold.
